We got some of these for our "Best of Europe" tour a few years back. They worked perfectly and were very useful. Definitely worth the bux and space in our luggage.
My friend who lives in Germany is on a motorcycle tour through France and Italy with his wife. They have full saddlebags and some extra gear held onto their BMW R1300GS with Rok Straps. While I totally recommend the Rick Steves travel clothesline for all you non-motorcyclists, I must say that the Rok Strap clothesline is extremely cool.
Great concept, just too short to adequately hold even a few pairs of underwear and socks. Video suggested it might work better to have two of them together.
