Is This the Right Book for Me?
Should I get this Snapshot guide in addition to Rick's complete Provence & the French Riviera guidebook?
Nope! Our Snapshot guides are simply excerpted chapters from our full-length guidebooks. Snapshot: Nice & the French Riviera covers the exact same topics as the Riviera chapters of the complete Rick Steves Provence & the French Riviera guidebook — the same hotels, same restaurants, same sightseeing information, same everything.
Should I get this Snapshot guide in addition to Rick's complete France or Best of France guidebook?
That depends on how deeply you want to dive into the region. Rick Steves France and Rick Steves Best of France include condensed coverage of our favorite Riviera stops — enough for a quick trip. But the Snapshot guide is worthwhile if you'd like more comprehensive coverage of the region, or any information on Menton, Cannes, or St-Tropez (none of which are included in France or Best of France — and Best of France also omits the Three Corniches and Inland Riviera entirely).
