Informative and fun
The guide book for Portugal is excellent.
Everything you need to know.
This book is the best guide for me because of:
1) there are illustrations of walking tours,
2) maps of highlighted areas to visit,
3) every major sightseeing item in town or region is highlighted,
4) recommendations for food and shelter are recommended for the common traveler.
5) photos are used to entice visitation of places out of the usual travel itinerary as well as well-known locations.

I am preparing for a trip to Portugal in March 2027 - have used a Book from Rick Steves for Italy which was very helpful. Expect the same for the current book

I’ll be on the October 19 tour and was happy to receive my tour kit early enough to plan my free time. I don’t recall getting my kits for other tours well in advance of my tour date- much appreciated. Great info in the book. One suggestion-add rough times to spend at listed places to visit. I understand this is an individual choice but it would help with so many locations having timed entries. Thanks -keep up the good work!
