Should I buy separate books for each language instead of the 3-in-1 French/Italian/German phrase book?

Rick Steves' French, Italian & German Phrase Book contains all the essentials of each single-language phrase book, but without a dictionary, and with fewer travel tips (and it's in two colors, not full color). For a trip focusing on areas speaking just one or two of these three languages, the single-language phrase books are the better value. But if you'll be breezing through all three of these languages on the same trip, the condensed 3-in-1 version — which still covers the basics, plus much more — makes the most sense.

I love it. Just what I needed for upcoming trips.

So far, so good. The pronunciations are slightly different when compared to the native Italian speaking videos I've been studying, but it's close enough for me. Just like your books, if you are willing to give it a go and be respectful, the native speakers say the Italians will appreciate the effort.

The 3-in-1 French, Italian, German Phrase Book was perfect for me because I am travelling to those countries in the near future. Having a few phrases in the local language seems to smooth the way for a wonderful trip.
The book arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Too bad that I will chop it up and take the pages I need the most with me! I will use it and really appreciate having such a great tool to make travelling smooth.
