If you’re spending a week or more in an area, the extra information in a single-city/region guidebook can be worthwhile. Our full-length Berlin guidebook offers our most in-depth sightseeing information, with extra walks and museum/sight tours, expansive restaurant and hotel recommendations, and full chapters on shopping and nightlife.

Although our Pocket guide to Munich has slightly more coverage of the city than Best of Germany, it’s not different enough to merit packing both. Keep it simple and pick one or the other.
